Hi there! I’m Rebecca. Welcome to That Gypsy Soul! Thanks for stopping by.

Here you’ll find an assortment of vintage goods for the home – with my main love and focus being Americana and things travel related – pennants, maps, books, souvenirs, and other little kitschy finds. At local (Adelaide, South Australia) markets, you’re sure to find all that + more.

I’m a Gypsy at heart. While I lived in the same house for the first 18 years of my life, I’ve since lived in 8 cities, 2 countries, and 14 apartments/houses (with our current home being the longest). I’ve moved my stuff all around this world via cars, semi-trucks, and shipping containers – and at each stop along the way I’ve collected some new things to add to my collection.

A few other things about me:

I’m a thirty-something American married to an (awesome) Aussie man. We live in Adelaide, Australia (via Sydney via Chicago). / I’ve been working in the web industry for the past ten+ years (with a two year stint at a major record label in the middle). I can now be found in my home office (or on plane or at an event) working for the ever-so-awesome distributed company Automattic aka WordPress.com. / I travel a lot – mainly for work, but a nice little portion for fun. / I love everything crafty and handmade (you can check out my other blog – howdiyblog.com). / I adore music – I don’t think I could get through the day without my Sonos full of subscription platforms (Spotify, SiriusXM, and Pandora). / I‘m obsessed with Mexican food.

And yes, the “Gypsy Soul” in That Gypsy Soul is inspired by the Van Morrison song Into the Mystic – a pure classic.
